Llandudno Christmas Parade



 

 

   
The tram was on display
on Mostyn Street
- the former tram route through Llandudno


Standing outside Trinity Church - a regular sight until March 1956

Proudly displaying the Cup awarded for the best entry in the Llandudno Carnival
earlier in the year

The 1,000 feet of rope lights around the tram are switched on for the first time
note also the "star" borrowed from Bolton tram No.66 specially for the occasion

Standing at the former goods yard at Llandudno station
hauled by a steam traction engine prior to the Christmas Parade

A last minute check by the officials

Replica Tram No.7 sets off to join the Christmas Parade ......

...... complete with a christmas tree in the lower-deck saloon
along with two generators to power all the lights

After the Parade, the illuminted steam-hauled Replica Tram No.7
made its way along Mostyn Street to the
"Winter Wonderland"
at the Llandudno Tabernacl Heritage Centre
for an evening visit to the
Father Christmas Grotto and workshop


The Grotto was open to the general public........
Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until 20th December - 3.30pm to 9pm
Friday 21st December - 3.30pm to 9pm
Saturdays until 22nd December - 11am to 8pm
