The ex-Lisbon No.305 feature has now been split into four pages

The tram was purchased many years ago with the prime intention of obtaining bogies for longer-term use under Replica Tram No.7

Ex-Lisbon No.305 - Ll&CBTSoc No.25
305's body was in excellent condition and has been repainted in Ll&CBER green and cream.   The internal wiring for the lighting circuits has obviously been modified during its lifetime and needs some attention.   The Brill 22E bogies will have to be regauged from 900mmm to 3'6".   Initial inspection suggests that the bogies were built with the provision to be regauged and may have even run on 3'6" or similar at some time.
On the afternoon of Friday 28th April 2000,
No.305 was moved out of its shed to be loaded onto a lorry to take it to the Llandudno Transport Festival

The long-term future of this tram depends entirely on the amount of money made available, as priority must be given to restoring the 'operational' tram No.6.
If ultimately funds were made available for it to be re-built similar to Lisbon 283, it would made a interesting running partner for No.6.
